From April through to October there is very little rainfall and almost continuous sunshine. The sea is warm and clear. What's more the summer weather patterns are fairly constantand reliable.

If you're interested in sailing or for that matter water-skiing then the weather is just right. The mornings are usually calm and by lunchtime the breeze starts to get up - but this rarely exceeds force 5.

Winter weather is rainy - hence Zakynthos retains it wonderful greeness right through the summer.
