From Lescun it's only a it 15 kilometres drive to the attractive old fashioned village of Bedous. With its 17th century Church and Chateau, it is worth exploring, as well as offering two small supermarkets, a first class butcher, a tempting bakery and chemist and bank with a cash machine.

There are several simple restaurants and a the three star gastronomically recommended Alysson Hotel also has a swimming pool.

A 45mins drive takes you to the Spanish border and the two ski resorts of Astun and Candanchu.

A new tunnel takes you quickly (50 mins) under these resorts to the old town of Jaca with a mediaeval Cathedral and Museum set on the one side against the mountains and on the other the rolling plains of northen Spain and golden sun scorched cornfields.
