But for those who wish to do a little bit more then then there's plenty to choose from.

If you're interested in water sports then besides the Peligoni Club which offers sailing and windsurfing (as well as a choice of two pleasant bars and restaurant) you

can swim, snorkel and even rent a boat to explore the coast. And as a guest of Dorman Villas you have exclusive use of our 'astro turf' tennis court.

Or you could choose to visit the various monasteries, take in Shipwreck Bay from the top of the cliff, or watch the sun go down from Keri. All in the space of one evening

Nearby is the town of Volimes, the centre for the islands weaving industry, and further afield in Zakynthos you can buy beautiful local pottery, and other quality souvenirs.

Zakynthos town also has an interesting museum, shaded colonnades and some excellent fish restaurants - do try Dimitris behind the Port Police office on the main dock.

Heading north (and perhaps more for the adventurous) you could drop in on Alykes

on the east coast and try your hand at paragliding, water skiing, or even wake boarding.

Of course all this activity is a sure way of working up an appetite. So a good time to try some of the many restaurants to choose from, some specialise in fish, others in traditional local Zakyinthian cuisine.
