Of course you cannot stay at Lescun without enjoying the local food and wine. Dishes such as the local Bearnaise vegetable soup, 'La Gabure', is served at the start of every meal. But deliciously rich foods such as 'confit de canard' or 'foie-gras' are always available.
Milk and a cheeses can be bought directly from the farmer's wives. For fish and meat, you must wait for the van's weekly visit to the square.
